Isabella Jakobsen Szállás is a literary translator of prose, poetry and plays. Her translations have appeared in Hungarian Literature Online (2025). She studied classical languages and literature at UCL, with a Dean's List awarded dissertation about Miklós Radnóti’s translations from Latin. She took part in Bristol Translates Summer School in 2023, and in an online Hungarian Literary Translation course in 2024. Isabella is currently studying on the Hungarian Literary Translation programme at the Balassi Institute in Budapest, where she is being mentored by translator Anna Bentley. She is currently working on a collection of poems by István Kormos (seeking a publisher).
